We have an exciting opportunity for a Mobile Fabrication Welder / Fitter to support our team across Scotland. This role involves both workshop-based and off-site work, including quarry environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out safe and efficient fabrication, welding, fitting, repairs, maintenance and installation of plant and equipment
  • Work in line with risk assessments, COSHH, method statements and permit-to-work systems
  • Inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are fit for purpose

Senior Geologist

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Geologist to support our existing quarrying operations and assist in achieving our ambitious plans to develop new opportunities across Scotland.

This role offers a varied mix of fieldwork, technical design, and project support across both existing quarries and future development opportunities.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Prospecting for future quarry sites, undertaking desktop and field-based assessments.
  • Quarry development design & planning for existing operations and future development opportunities.
  • Managing the geological requirements of our existing sand & gravel and hard rock quarries including the provision of resource assessments, quarry design plans and supporting our site management teams.
  • Assisting with regulatory management and development of quarrying operations including planning applications and environmental permitting

 

About you:

  • A degree in Geology or a related earth science discipline.
  • Chartered Geologist status or working towards full chartership.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and qualified Mineral / Town Planner (MRTPI) to support our existing quarrying operations and assist in achieving our ambitious plans to develop new opportunities across Scotland.

In this role, you will work closely with internal teams, external consultants, and a wide range of stakeholders to progress complex planning projects for new quarry developments and extensions to existing sites.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Working with teams of external consultants and a range of other stakeholders, assembly and management of complex EIA planning applications for new quarry sites and extensions to existing sites.
  • Assisting our operations teams to ensure compliance with planning obligations, including performing audits.
  • Formulating responses to planning policy consultation documents, promoting the company’s interests as appropriate.
  • Developing relationships with key stakeholders, including local communities, planning officers, statutory consultees and landowners.

 

About you:

  • Chartered Town Planner (MRTPI) with a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team, with the confidence to lead where required.
  • Experience in mineral planning is desirable, but training will be provided to bridge from other planning specialisms.
