The Forres Highland Games take place every year in July in the magnificent setting of Grant Park, Forres.

Games day commences with a Pipe Band procession up Forres High Street before the Games flag is raised over the arena.  The day follows with a spectacular show of Scottish tradition, sport and culture with Highland Dancing, Track and Field, Heavy Events, Tug ‘o’ War, Solo Piping and may more disciplines on display.

Unique to the Forres Games is the Message Bike Race, where spectators can turn participant and race the field on an old traditional message bike in hope of lifting a winners trophy.

It was a glorious hot sunny day and a successful event enjoyed by all.  There was good competition in the solo piping and, as always, a crowd attraction. 

Calum Brown from Peterculter was presented with the new Leiths Trophy as winner of the best senior piper title at Forres Highland Games 2018.

The presentation shown in the photograph was made on behalf of Leiths by Mr Colin Manson, Chieftain. Colin is a well known local farmer and supporter of the Games over many years.
