New Commercial and Operations Staff for Construction and Surfacing

Leiths

We are pleased to announce the appointment of three new members of staff to our Construction & Surfacing Division.

Quantity Surveyor – Paul Bennett

Paul began his career with the PQS Consultancy John Duguid Partnership in Dundee. He remained there for 9 years but decided he wanted to gain some contracting experience. After parting company with John Duguid Partnership, he joined Martin Alan Construction where he worked for 4 years on Civil Engineering and Groundwork Contracts throughout the North-East of Scotland.

We are delighted that Paul has decided to continue to advance his career and develop his experience working with Leiths’ C&S Division in Aberdeen.

Section Engineer – Muhammad Shafqat

After completing a Civil Engineering Degree in his home Country of Pakistan, Muhammad (Mo) relocated to London to further his qualifications and gained an MSC in Construction Management at City University. Prior to joining Leiths, Mo worked as a Graduate Engineer on a large scale Civil Engineering Contract with Carey Group Plc in Moray. It was during these 18 months that he decided to settle in Moray permanently and we were only too willing to welcome him into our C&S Team based at New Forres Quarry.

Mo will be involved in Contracts across the whole North of Scotland and assist the local Manager in further strengthening our business in the area from an already solid foundation of satisfied clients, successfully completed contracts, repeat business and strong on-going relationships throughout the local industry.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Ailsa Fraser

All of us at C&S are extremely pleased that Ailsa has decided to begin her professional career with us. After Graduating from the University of Highlands and Islands in Inverness in 2015, she took on temporary work with the Highland Council as a Contracts Administrator until a more permanent position became available within the Construction Industry.

Although Ailsa is based at New Forres Quarry, to ensure her career is given as solid a start as possible she will be involved with our business across the whole of Scotland including some exposure to the operations of our other Group Companies.
