Geordie was an extremely experienced driver and will be a big loss to the team. In the words of one of his colleagues, “he is a straight talking, no frills, often grumpy, always opinionated, and will be hugely missed by everyone”. 

George retired officially in August 2017 following the presentation of his 40-year long service award. He ended his career on lorry LOR052 which will always be known now as Geordie's old lorry.  

We wish Geordie all the very best in his retirement.
